Is PhenTCA suitable for everyone?

No. It is a medical-only peel reserved for carefully selected patients. For Fitzpatrick V to VI it is not recommended without individual clinical assessment, and it is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, where there is active skin infection, or for anyone under 18. Suitability is confirmed at an in-person consultation and a mandatory patch test.

How much downtime should I plan for?

A minimum of seven to ten days. Significant peeling, redness, and tightness are expected, and swelling may persist for up to twenty days. The skin looks worse before it improves — this is part of the regeneration process.

Do I need to prepare my skin beforehand?

Yes. A prescribed homecare preparation routine is required for at least fourteen days before treatment, and a patch test is performed around ten days prior.

When can I have other treatments again?

As our clinic protocol, no in-clinic treatments for four months after PhenTCA — no peels, microneedling, energy-based devices, or injectables.

What is mesopeel MD PhenTCA?

mesopeel MD PhenTCA is a high-impact regenerative peel that works by initiating a controlled response within the skin — stimulating collagen remodelling, activating fibroblasts, and replacing damaged tissue with renewed skin.

A mandatory patch test is performed approximately 10 days before treatment. Thorough skin preparation at home is required for a minimum of 14 days prior. PhenTCA is performed as one session per treatment, with a maximum of two sessions per year.

What to expect.

Preparation (14 days before)

A prescribed homecare preparation routine begins at home to prime the skin.

Patch test (~10 days before)

A small test application is performed to assess your skin’s response.

Treatment day

On the day of your treatment, our team will assess your skin and apply the peel using gauze, with careful, gentle technique across the treatment areas. A cooling mask and barrier-repair products are applied in clinic immediately after.

Recovery (days 1 to 10)

Expect peeling, redness, tightness, and possible swelling. This is part of the regeneration process. The skin will look worse before it improves.

Results

Improvement begins to appear as the skin regenerates, continuing to refine over the following weeks.

Aftercare

Caring for your skin.

Apply SPF 50+ throughout the healing period and maintain as ongoing daily practice. Reapply every 2 hours during sun exposure (minimum 4 times daily) until fully healed
Apply a calming repair balm at least twice daily during the flaking process. Where scabbing or crusting occurs, apply Vaseline to those areas specifically, at least twice daily
No active skincare ingredients for the first 7 days
Do not pick or peel the skin — this significantly increases pigmentation risk
Cleanse gently; pat dry, do not rub
As The Beauty Script clinic protocol, no further in-clinic treatments for 4 months following PhenTCA (no peels, no microneedling, no energy-based devices, no injectables)
